About
Professional Background
After graduation, I received a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. This fellowship enhanced my ability to treat clients in medical settings as part of a collaborative team. I earned licensure in 2006. I then spent eight years as a licensed psychologist practicing in an OB/GYN setting, where I focused on women’s mental health and the integration of psychology within a primary care private practice.
In 2015, I transitioned to independent practice. This allowed me to expand into areas of specialty that both meet community needs, and match my own interests. As a bonus, my office mates are outstanding mental health providers. I certainly benefit from the exciting synergy of growth, support and feedback that co-locating offers. I also enjoy serving on the board of the Brazos Valley Psychological Association, a group of local psychologists who aim to foster community collaboration, maintain connections between psychologists and state legislators, and provide continuing education to area mental health providers.
